Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses Happy Turtle Marketplace, including buyers and vendors. It works together with our Terms of Service. By using the marketplace, you agree to follow these rules.

Prohibited Products

You may not list, sell, or attempt to buy any of the following:

  • Illegal items, or items that are illegal to sell in the buyer’s or vendor’s location.
  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or related accessories.
  • Drugs, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, or unapproved supplements making unlawful health claims.
  • Counterfeit goods or items that infringe another party’s trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property.
  • Recalled, stolen, or fraudulently obtained goods.
  • Hazardous materials, or items that require a license or special handling you do not hold.
  • Adult or sexually explicit content, and any material that exploits or endangers minors.
  • Live animals or regulated wildlife products, except where expressly permitted and fully compliant with law.

Prohibited Conduct

When using the marketplace, you may not:

  • Engage in fraud, misrepresent products, or post false or misleading listings or reviews.
  • Circumvent the checkout process, platform fees, or commission structure.
  • Manipulate prices, ratings, giveaways, or search results.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, vendors, or staff.
  • Upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, scrape data, or disrupt the service.
  • Collect or use other users’ personal information for any purpose other than completing a legitimate transaction.
  • Send spam or unsolicited marketing through the marketplace.

Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors are responsible for ensuring their products are lawful and accurately described, for holding any licenses their products require, for fulfilling orders promptly, and for complying with all applicable laws, including consumer-protection, labeling, and tax requirements.

Enforcement

We may remove listings, refuse or cancel orders, withhold or reverse payouts, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement. We may take these actions with or without notice, at our discretion.
