Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: June 3, 2026
Happy Turtle Marketplace is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every customer and vendor to be able to browse, shop, and sell with ease, regardless of how they access the web.
Our Conformance Target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML with clear page landmarks (header, navigation, main, and footer) and a “skip to main content” link.
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
- Text and background color combinations that meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and accessible names on icon-only buttons.
- Form fields with associated labels, and error messages that are announced to assistive technology.
- Automated accessibility checks (axe) run against key pages as part of our testing process.
Known Limitations
Because Happy Turtle is a marketplace, some content — such as product images and descriptions — is supplied by independent vendors and may not always meet our accessibility standards. Some third-party tools and embedded content may also have limitations outside of our direct control. We review reported issues and work with vendors and providers to address them.
Feedback & Requesting Help
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Happy Turtle Marketplace. If you encounter a barrier, need information in an alternative format, or want to report an issue, please contact us at support@happyturtle.com. Please include the page address and a description of the problem so we can help. We aim to respond to accessibility requests within 5 business days.
